My experience --- IVF in USA [复制链接]

I did IVF in USA for gender seletion. I have two girls and want to have a boy.

11/10/2009, Starting medicine.
03/12/2009, egg retrieval. 18 eggs retrieved. 14 eggs are ok. Only 7 fertilized.
07/12/2009, Doctor called and told me there are only 3 normal embryo left, 2 girls and one boy.
08/12/2009, transferred the only boy.

18/12/2009, first HCG is 160.
21/12/2009, second HCG is 1180.

04/01/2010, Ultrasound. I saw baby`s heart beat.


I am lucky. First IVF for a boy, and only one boy embryo to transfer. Now he is in my tummy safe and sound.

Did you do Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) or not?
I am curious how your doctor tell an embryo is a boy or a girl on Day5? I keep Day3 pictures of my two embryos, and one looks like pink color and one is blue. I did Day 3 transfer, and now I am pregnant with one baby for 10 weeks. I try to guess it's a boy or a girl for preparation.
